Otis hails from Portland, Oregon, and attended high school in Vancouver, Washingon. He played #1 Singles for both the Oklahoma Wesleyan University and Riverside Community College varsity tennis teams. He was the Team Captain at both schools.

Otis is a United States Professional Tennis Association (USPTA) certified professional. He was a teaching pro at Canyon Crest Country Club, in Riverside until joining the staff at Andulka Park Tennis Center in early 2010. He is one of the top instructors in Riverside County and is one of the coaches of Andulka Park's Advanced Junior Academy and the Academy Prep program.

Otis has an extreme passion for player development of all ages and abilities and his lessons are high-impact, high repetition and very demanding.
