iTennis has a history of developing junior champions. |
The Advanced Junior Academy and Academy Prep are intense workouts for our junior players competing in SCTA tournaments and high school tennis. Players in the Advanced Junior Academy should have SCTA rankings, play in Open level junior tournaments and/or should be high quality high school varsity players. Players will learn patterns of play and percentage tennis, exploiting weaknesses, building a game plan, tournament and match preparation, periodization, nutrition, footwork, conditioning and continue to work on proper technique. Each session will have drills and competitive play. Players in Academy Prep should be advanced intermediates, who have limited tournament experience, are at the Satellite tournament level or who play high school junior varsity. Players must be very motivated and committed to improve their games enough to be promoted, at some point, into the Advanced Junior Academy. The curriculum for Academy Prep is the same as the Advanced Junior Academy. Acceptance into both Academy Prep and the Advanced Junior Academy must be approved by the Director of Tennis. |
